The Conference of Biotechnology (CNSH) occur in the context that Van Lang University is hosting the chain of activities of VL25 International scientific search. For the spirit, Biotechnology host international scientific conference with the topic “Applied Biotechnology” start from the mission of profession, focusing on 3 applied directions of students in agricultural producing, food, medicine and pharmacy.

The Conference is the scientific connection between Biotechnology lecturers and other institutions, University, international and national business entities; among lecturers, students, scientists and farmers. The Environment and Biotechnology Faculty host the discussion session with the purpose of create and develop academic exchanging environment, share experience, idea on applied researchin activities, expand cooperation relationship and collaborative training with authorized departments, business and farmers.

The scientific conference about Applied Biotechnology has received 21 scientific journal from national and international scientists, 10 posters and more than 30 scientific researched products that have the high applied quality conducted by lecturers and students from Biotechnology in producing research.

The conference has been received number of supports from Research Centers, Institutions in Ho Chi Minh City, business in the manufacturing and experts, lecturers in Biotechnology industry.

  1. My Vi Co. Ltd. Introduce “Milk and My vi yogurts manufacturing procedure” and the sponsorship for yearbook of the industry.
  2. Pasteur Institute Ho Chi Minh City released the report “Biotechnology in medical testing” that provides valuable information to the training activities following applied biotechnology direction in Medicine and Pharmacy, signed MOU with Biotechnology Faculty of Van Lang University in co-training and co-researching science.
  3. The Anh Dao Industrial and Agricultural Zone brought the topic “Biotechnology save Wax Coconut Embryo and researching Wax Coconut procedure” – the hot topic in coconut industry in Vietnam. The topic has the involvement of Ms Nguyen Thi Tuong Vi, General Director - Alumni from the 14th generation of Van lang University

The topic of all lecturers from Biotechnology Faculty of Van Lang university has send 3 discussion to the yearbook:

  1. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Xuyen, topic “Surveying potential of growing Sacha inchi in Vietnam and extracting Sachi oil.”;
  2. M.A. Tran Thi Minh, topic “Researching on collection and evaluation of a number of structure characteristics of the fibrin platelet-rich fibrin membranes”;
  3. Dr. Shirath Dashrath (SECCO.VN) HCSP Co., Ltd. Thu Duc District Ho Chi Minh City and Dr. Vu Thi Quyen (Van Lang University), topic: “Using herbal extract on high-tech agriculture”

Apart from the specialized research of lecturers, students of Biotechnology adapt and contribute to a report: “The influence of aflatoxin is found in some peanut samples that sale in Ho Chi Minh city to the white rat liver structure of Swiss flow (Mus Musculus)” (Tran Thi Kim Ngan, Biotechnology Student)
